Teaching Assistant – Year 3

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in New Malden, London, supporting pupils in a Year 3 classroom.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced Teaching Assistants and recent university graduates who are considering a career in education and would like to gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing. You will help create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities

• Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning

• Providing additional support with reading, writing and maths

• Helping pupils remain focused, motivated and engaged

• Supporting children with their academic and pastoral needs

• Preparing classroom resources and assisting with activities

• Encouraging positive behaviour and good learning habits

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
