A prestigious secondary pupil referral unit in Manchester is seeking a skilled and compassionate Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team for a September start. Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-on-one support to students with behavioural difficulties, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
- Implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions to promote positive behavioural change.
- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored learning activities to meet the individual needs of students.
- Building positive relationships with students, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies, to develop and implement personalised support plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working with students with behavioural challenges in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Patience, resilience, and empathy in supporting students with diverse needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
