Primary Teaching Assistant – September Start

A welcoming primary school in Hayle is seeking a dedicated Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant with SEN and 1:1 experience to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive school environment, helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.
Your Role Will Include
-
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (term-time only)
-
Providing in-class support across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
-
Delivering 1:1 support for pupils with SEN needs and EHCPs
-
Leading small group interventions tailored to pupil progress
-
Supporting classroom organisation, behaviour routines, and learning resources
-
Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to meet individual needs
The Ideal Candidate
-
Holds a minimum Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
-
Has proven SEN support experience within a school setting
-
Experience delivering 1:1 support with primary-age learners
-
Enthusiastic, reliable, and patient, with a positive approach to learning
-
Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
-
A current DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
