We have an opportunity to place a SEN Teaching Assistant in an OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ rated school for pupils aged 5-19 with learning difficulties in Dorset.

Your role as a SEN Teaching Assistant the school would be to assist the class teacher and possibly support other TA’s in the room throughout the school day. Your main responsibilities will include helping pupils with their work, assistance in group work activities, providing an alternative environment for the pupils to work to promote the pupils progress and help them reach their full potential.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant would have:

• Experience of working with SEN children

• A calm and patient presence to support pupils through their school life 

• Someone who is comfortable with managing behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
