1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Chorlton | September Start

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chorlton, seeking a committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time position (8:30am – 3:30pm) starts in September and focuses on delivering tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs through both individual and small group interventions.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide personalised 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, alongside small group interventions
• Work in partnership with the class teacher to plan and deliver differentiated learning activities
• Support the implementation and regular review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Liaise with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to monitor and track pupil progress
• Adapt resources and teaching approaches to meet the changing needs of individual learners

What We’re Looking For
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
• A calm, patient, and flexible approach to learning support
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• Level 2 Safeguarding qualification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
