Job Opportunity: Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Start Date: 5th January 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time, Maternity Cover

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive secondary school team in Chorley from January 5th for a full-time maternity cover position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and activities.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support where needed.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working in a secondary school setting is desirable.
• A proactive, flexible, and caring approach to supporting students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
