Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Secondary School, Preston
Contract Dates: January 5th 2026 – Friday 3rd April 2026
Position Type: Full-time, Temporary
A supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Preston is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from January 5th 2026 until Friday 3rd April 2026.
About the Role:
-
Support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4
-
Work with individual students and small groups to help them achieve their full potential
-
Assist with classroom management, lesson preparation, and the delivery of engaging learning activities
-
Provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including those with SEND
-
Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment
Candidate Requirements:
-
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
-
Experience working in a secondary school setting is desirable
-
A patient, reliable, and proactive attitude
-
Good communication and teamwork skills
-
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
