Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Spring Term 2026
Location: Skelmersdale, Lancashire
Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed-term (Spring Term Only)
Start Date: January 2026
End Date: April 2026

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive secondary school in Skelmersdale for the Spring Term 2026. This is a full-time, fixed-term role from January to April 2026.
Your role will include:

Supporting students in class, both 1:1 and in small groups
-
Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
-
Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
-
Contributing to the academic and personal development of all pupils
We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience working with young people in a school or educational setting
-
Is calm, adaptable, and proactive in supporting a range of learning needs
-
Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and students

Has a genuine passion for helping children succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
