Are you passionate about fostering a love for reading and writing in young learners? We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Literacy Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic educational team at our partnered school based in Bolton.

Job Description:

As a Literacy Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our educators in promoting literacy development and helping students become confident and proficient readers and writers. Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing individualised or small group support to students who need assistance with reading comprehension, fluency, phonics, and writing skills.
- Assisting in the planning and implementation of literacy activities and interventions that align with the curriculum and address students' specific learning needs.
- Utilising a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technologies to engage students and enhance their literacy learning experience.
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to assess students' literacy progress, track their growth, and identify areas for improvement.
- Creating a positive and nurturing learning environment where students feel encouraged and motivated to explore and express themselves through literacy.

‍ Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A genuine passion for literacy and a desire to make a difference in students' lives through education.
- Strong literacy skills and a solid understanding of reading and writing instruction techniques and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Previous experience working in an educational setting or as a teaching assistant is advantageous but not mandatory.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
