Teaching Assistant

Are you a Psychology graduate? Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Teaching Personnel are currently looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic psychology graduates to work with children in a Bury based Primary SEN school. The position will be working predominately with children 4-11-year-old pupils who have variety of Special Education Needs including Severe learning difficulties and Autism. Ideally you will have a patient/friendly nature and will be prepared to cover across all years/ability levels where needed.

The successful Teaching Assistant for this post will have a degree relating to Psychology, and as a result will have a good theoretical understanding of special educational needs. You must also be a confident and a resilient Teaching Assistant who holds a genuine desire to help young people with additional needs excel. Having experience when supporting children who display challenging behaviours is not essential but will support your application.
