GCSE Tutor – Ilkeston (DE7)

Help Students Achieve Success in Their GCSE Studies with TP Tutors

TP Tutors is looking for motivated and knowledgeable GCSE Tutors to support students across Ilkeston (DE7). This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition that helps pupils build confidence, improve attainment, and prepare effectively for their GCSE examinations.

This is a part-time role, working during weekdays between school hours, providing tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged learners.

The Role

As a GCSE Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 GCSE tuition sessions.
  • Support students in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science.
  • Plan and deliver lessons tailored to each child's individual learning needs, abilities, and academic goals.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and educational needs.
  • Support pupils to build confidence, improve subject knowledge, and become independent learners.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback following each tuition session.
  • Work closely with families and education professionals where appropriate to support learner outcomes.

We're Looking For

  • Strong subject knowledge at GCSE level.
  • A minimum of one year's teaching or tutoring experience within the UK.
  • Experience working with Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • A patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Previous tutoring or classroom teaching experience is desirable.
  • Right to work in the UK.
