Functional Skills Tutor – Swadlincote (DE11)

Location: Swadlincote, DE11
Position: Functional Skills Tutor
Hours: Part-time, weekdays during school hours
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Functional Skills Tutor to support learners in English and Maths within an education setting in Swadlincote (DE11).

The Role

You will:

  • Deliver engaging Functional Skills English and Maths lessons.
  • Plan and adapt learning to meet individual student needs.
  • Support learners to build confidence and achieve their qualifications.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering Functional Skills or GCSE English and/or Maths.
  • A recognised teaching or tutoring qualification (desirable).
  • Experience supporting learners with additional needs is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
