1:1 SEN Tutor – Chesterfield (S42)

Location: Chesterfield (S42)
Hours: Part-time, weekdays during school hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutor to provide personalised tuition and support for a student with Special Educational Needs in the Chesterfield (S42) area.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced tutor, teacher, or education professional who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and tailored 1:1 tuition based on the student's individual learning needs.

• Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to support a range of Special Educational Needs.

• Develop engaging lesson plans that promote academic progress and confidence.

• Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback.

• Create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or teaching within a school or alternative education setting.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant SEN tutoring experience.

• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

• Right to work in the UK.

• Ability to provide professional references.
