Hours: Part-time, weekdays during school hours
Are you an experienced and passionate Maths & English Tutor with SEN experience looking for a rewarding opportunity in Chesterfield?
We are looking for a dedicated tutor to provide personalised tuition in Maths and English while supporting a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Role

Deliver engaging and personalised Maths and English tuition.

Support students working towards their academic goals.

Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to meet individual SEN needs.

Build confidence and encourage positive engagement with learning.

Support students with their core Maths and English skills.
-
Use positive behaviour-management strategies where required.
-
Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.

Work closely with the school and wider support team.
Requirements
-
Previous experience teaching or tutoring Maths and English.
-
SEN experience is essential.

Strong subject knowledge, particularly at Primary/Secondary level.
-
Experience providing personalised or 1:1 tuition is desirable.

Excellent communication and behaviour-management skills.
-
QTS or relevant teaching/tutoring qualifications are desirable.
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
-
Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
