Teaching Assistant (Ad-Hoc / Flexible Work)

Location: Bridport, Dorset
Contract Type: Ad-Hoc / Day-to-Day / Short-Term
Hours: Flexible – work when it suits you
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (PAYE)

About the Role

Are you looking for a rewarding role that fits around your schedule? We’re seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our supply pool supporting schools across Bridport and the surrounding area.

These ad-hoc and day-to-day positions offer the perfect mix of flexibility and variety — ideal if you enjoy working in different settings or want to gain more classroom experience without the commitment of a long-term role.

What You’ll Do

  • Support teachers and pupils in classrooms across different year groups
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to help pupils reach their potential
  • Assist with classroom organisation, lesson preparation, and activities
  • Support children with additional or special educational needs (SEN)
  • Step in for short-term cover — no two days are the same!

What We’re Looking For

  • Friendly, flexible, and confident individuals
  • A passion for education and helping young people succeed
  • Previous classroom or childcare experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
