SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Bridport Area)
Full-Time Role | Monday to Friday | Immediate Start

Are you a caring and resilient individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?
Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming primary school near Bridport that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child who requires additional support throughout the school day.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, during term time – ideal for someone seeking a rewarding, long-term position where they can make a real difference.

The role involves:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support to a child with SEN (social, emotional, or communication needs)
  • Supporting learning and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals
  • Adapting learning activities to suit the child’s individual needs
  • Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with additional needs (in school or alternative settings)
  • Is patient, empathetic, and proactive
  • Can build strong relationships and communicate effectively with children and staff
  • Is committed to supporting inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
