Flexible Teaching Assistant – Full-Time – Poole
Are you a compassionate, adaptable individual looking for a rewarding role in education? A supportive school in Poole is seeking a Flexible Teaching Assistant to join their team this September, supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) across various year groups.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain broad classroom experience while working closely with students who need additional support to thrive in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide in-class support to pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD and communication needs

Work with children on a 1:1 or small group basis, following individual education plans

Adapt learning materials to suit pupils’ needs and encourage engagement

Support the teacher with classroom management and inclusive teaching practices

Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or care setting
-
A flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing classroom needs
-
An understanding of SEN and a genuine desire to support all learners
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A child-only enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
