Our behavioral school in Bolton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to provide additional support to our students. This would be a September 2024 start. As a Youth Worker, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every young person feels valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioral challenges, helping them to develop positive coping strategies and social skills.
- Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and rapport to support their emotional well-being and academic progress.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and external agencies to implement behavior management strategies and support plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Facilitate engaging and interactive activities designed to promote personal development, resilience, and self-esteem.
- Act as a positive role model for students, demonstrating empathy, respect, and integrity in all interactions.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people in a behavioral school or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Resilience, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting students through challenging situations.
- A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to their well-being and success.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
