Behaviour Support Assistant – Altrincham (WA15)

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Pupil Referral Unit located in the vibrant town of Altrincham, conveniently accessible by bus, train, or car. This institution is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for students with SEMH needs. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, your role will be vital in helping students with SEMH needs overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working full-time throughout school hours.
  • Building positive relationships with students and providing them with emotional support.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individual behaviour plans.
  • Encouraging and reinforcing positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborating with teachers and professionals to create a nurturing and structured learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • A good knowledge and understanding of SEMH, behaviour management, and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
