Teaching Assistant - Blackpool
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable General Teaching Assistants to join our team at Teaching Personnel. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and want the flexibility to shape their working week.

Responsibilities:

Provide individualised, 1:1 support to a pupil in line with their EHCP and learning needs.

Help the child engage in classroom activities by breaking down tasks and offering reassurance and encouragement.

Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and behavioural development using positive, nurturing approaches.

Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to follow support strategies.

Promote independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.

Ensure the child’s wellbeing, comfort, and safety throughout the school day.
Requirements:
-
Has experience working in care, support work, or a similar people-focused role.

Is patient, empathetic, and confident working with children with additional needs.

Has good communication skills and can build trusting relationships.

Is adaptable, calm under pressure, and able to use initiative.

Is willing to learn and develop through training and guidance.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
