The school caters for young people between the ages of 2 and 19 who have PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and complex needs. A significant number of students also have a diagnosis of autism (ASC), some of whom may also have significant physical, sensory or behavioural needs.
You will work under the instruction of teaching staff to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching of pupils with special educational needs. You may be asked to supervise specified work with individuals on a 1:1 basis or in small groups under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher.
You will be able to encourage the participation of pupils in the social and academic processes of the school, and enable pupils to become more independent learners. There is some personal care involved with this role.

- You are passionate, proactive and dedicated about improving the learning opportunities for children and young people
- You have an ability to work with a range of children and young people with additional and complex needs
- You are a team player who can build good working relationships with colleagues
- You are flexible, enthusiastic and resilient, with a good sense of humour
- You have high aspirations in teaching and learning for all children and young people.
We are currently looking for candidates with full time, part time and flexible availability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
