Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School Opportunity in Altrincham

Renowned for its commitment to fostering academic excellence and emotional wellbeing, the school is seeking a dedicated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their supportive team this November.
About the Role
As a HLTA, you’ll play a key role in enhancing the educational experience for pupils across the school. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging lessons, lead small group interventions, and contribute to planning and assessment. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is passionate about making a meaningful impact in a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of high-quality, engaging lessons
- Lead focused one-to-one and small group learning sessions
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Assist in the emotional and pastoral development of pupils
- Prepare learning resources and monitor pupil progress
- Provide tailored support for children with additional needs
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a HLTA or senior classroom support role
- A proactive, enthusiastic approach to supporting learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse needs
- HLTA qualification or equivalent (highly desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
