Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School in Eccles
Start Date: November

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Eccles. This school is committed to providing every child with the support they need to flourish—academically, socially, and emotionally. To further strengthen their team, they are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join them from November.

About the Role:

As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the learning experience across the school. Working closely with class teachers, you will support lesson delivery, lead small group sessions, and contribute to planning and assessment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and skilled HLTA who is eager to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.
  • Provide focused one-to-one and small group support.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support pupils’ emotional and pastoral development.
  • Prepare learning resources and help monitor pupil progress.
  • Deliver targeted interventions for pupils with additional needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and wider school staff to promote pupil success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar HLTA or senior support role.
  • A positive, proactive approach and a genuine passion for education.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive practice and supporting diverse learning needs.
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
