Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School, Eccles
Start Date: January
Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a forward-thinking, inclusive primary school in Eccles. Dedicated to helping every child thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally—the school is now seeking an experienced and committed Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from January.
About the Role
As an HLTA, you will play a key part in enriching the learning experience across the school. Working closely with class teachers, you will support lesson delivery, lead small groups, and contribute to planning and assessment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled HLTA who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in children’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, high-quality lessons.
- Provide focused one-to-one and small group support.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Support pupils’ emotional, social, and pastoral development.
- Prepare learning resources and assist in monitoring pupil progress.
- Deliver targeted interventions for pupils with additional needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the wider school team to promote pupil success.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an HLTA or in a senior classroom support role.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for education.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to inclusive practice and supporting diverse learning needs.
- An HLTA qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
