Teaching Assistant - ASC Support - Darlington

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a fantastic Secondary School in Darlington to recruit a full time, dedicated Teaching Assistant to work alongside students displaying Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), working on a 1:1 basis with children who need extra support with their learning and classroom experience. This is a full time role, commencing in September 2019.

As an ASC Classroom Support Assistant you will be working alongside children and young people in Key Sates 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be passionate, driven and ready to work alongside students that may sometimes experience challenging behaviour and seem unengaged in the classroom and learning. Your role will be to support the children with their individual learning needs. This is an incredibly rewarding role as you will be helping children and young people  progress through their education and enjoy their school experience.  

The ideal candidate will:

-          Support implementation of strategies to manage behaviour

-          Record and report the students progress to the teacher and parents

-          Establish and maintain relationships with the children and other staff

-          Be reliable, passionate and personable

-          Have some ASC experience working with young people

Teaching Personnel can offer the successful ASC support classroom assistant competitive pay rates of GBP57-65 per day, however long term rates can be negotiated on your behalf.
