Job description
Flexible SEN Tutoring With Purpose
TP Tutors is expanding its network of SEN Tutors across Kent and is seeking experienced education professionals to provide personalised one-to-one tuition exclusively to primary and secondary SEN learners.
You’ll support students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and other SEND needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and work towards their individual goals.
Role Details
- Location: Kent and surrounding areas
- Students: Primary and secondary SEN learners
- Pay: £25–£30 per hour
- Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
- Delivery: One-to-one tuition in schools, community settings or learners’ homes

Your Responsibilities
You will:
- Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition for SEN students
- Plan and adapt sessions around individual needs
- Support learners across primary and/or secondary education
- Develop academic skills, confidence and independence
- Monitor, assess and record progress
- Build constructive relationships with families, schools and other professionals
- Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Essential Experience & Skills
Applicants should have:
- Experience working with SEN/SEND children or young people
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring or education
- Experience supporting learners within mainstream and/or specialist SEN settings
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to support primary and/or secondary SEN students
- Ability to travel across Kent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
