TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking experienced Teachers, Tutors and SEND specialists to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to pupils across Cambridgeshire.
You will support Primary and Secondary learners, including pupils preparing for GCSEs and those requiring additional SEND support. Tuition may take place in schools, pupils' homes, community settings and alternative provisions, mainly during school hours, with some assignments available outside these hours depending on pupil needs.

The Role
- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition based on individual needs.
- Support pupils across Primary and Secondary age groups.
- Teach English, Maths and other curriculum subjects according to your expertise.
- Plan lessons aligned with the pupil's ability, curriculum and learning objectives.
- Adapt teaching approaches to different abilities and SEND needs.
- Support GCSE and other qualification preparation where appropriate.
- Identify learning gaps and support academic progress.
- Monitor progress and complete session reports.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools and education professionals.
- Encourage confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.
- Experience working with Primary and/or Secondary pupils.
- Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication, behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience delivering 1:1 tuition is desirable.
- Ability to travel reliably between tuition locations across Cambridgeshire.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or reliable alternative transport.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Experience
- QTS, PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia and speech and language needs.
- Experience delivering home tuition, school-based tuition, community tuition or Alternative Provision.
- GCSE and post-16 teaching experience.
- Knowledge of EHCPs and personalised learning plans.

Location
Assignments are available across Cambridgeshire, including Cambridge, Peterborough, Ely, Huntingdon, St Neots, March, Wisbech, Newmarket and surrounding areas, depending on pupil requirements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
