Are you an experienced teacher, tutor, mentor or education professional looking for flexible work that makes a real difference?

TP Tutors is looking for enthusiastic SEN Tutors to provide personalised one-to-one tuition to primary and secondary learners across Verwood and the surrounding areas.

You’ll work with SEN/SEND and mainstream students, adapting your teaching to support different abilities, learning styles and educational objectives.

Depending on your experience, you may provide support in Maths, English and other subjects, while also working with learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other SEND needs.

Role Details

Location: Verwood and surrounding areas
Students: Primary and secondary SEN/SEND and mainstream learners
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
Delivery: One-to-one tuition in schools, community settings or learners’ homes

Your Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering personalised one-to-one tuition
• Planning engaging sessions around individual needs
• Supporting primary and secondary learners
• Working with SEN/SEND and mainstream students
• Adapting resources and teaching strategies
• Building confidence and encouraging independent learning
• Monitoring and recording progress
• Maintaining positive communication with families and schools

Essential Criteria

We’re looking for applicants with:

• Experience working with children or young people
• Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring or education
• Experience supporting SEN/SEND and/or mainstream learners
• Understanding of safeguarding requirements
• Ability to work with primary and/or secondary students
• Ability to travel across Verwood and surrounding areas
• Strong communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
