Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Location: Cardiff CF5
Start Date: January 2026 – End of academic year July 2026 (possibility of extension)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £90 per day
Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual who loves helping children reach their full potential? We’re looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in a mainstream school in the Cardiff CF5 area.

Ideally, we’d love to get you cleared and familiar with the school before Christmas — so you can meet the team and start the new term with confidence.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be providing 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to:
- Access learning in a way that suits their individual style
- Develop confidence, social skills, and independence
- Engage in classroom activities and build positive relationships
- Follow personalised learning plans set by teachers and SEN staff

Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can help you apply)
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration (we’ll assist with this too)
- Two recent references from employers or relevant roles

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
