Teacher of Science for September 2019

The school is an oversubscribed school serving students stretching from Salisbury through to Basingstoke. The school is a vibrant one that is recognised to be 'good' by ofsted. The school are innovative and with continuous curriculum development at the forefront of everything they do. The school has an excellent academic record with many of its students going on to successfully achieve degree's and move into professional roles taking away from their time at the school that learning should be life long.

The school are looking to appoint a Science Teacher on a full time basis from September 2019. The science department saw progress indicators significantly above the national average with 80% of combined science results being grades 9-4 in 2018. To be successful in the department the ideal candidate will:

• Demonstrate that they are very passionate about teaching and learning to continue to drive the already successful results
• Be open to share best practice of learning and teaching strategies within the department
• Support the schools professional development programme and be pro active in their own continual professional development
• Set clear and high expectations of their students
• Have exceptional subject knowledge

NQTs and MPS teachers are encouraged to apply for the role. For those applying from teacher training, there is opportunity to start at the end of the summer term 2019. Full time applications are preferable, however part time may be considered for the right teacher.
