The Headteacher at a small Bolton based Secondary school is seeking a full time Teacher of Maths, from January 2020 or earlier to cover the end of a Maternity leave for a permanent member of staff.

The Head of Maths wishes to appoint a skilled practitioner with the passion and motivation required to deliver outstanding lessons to pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The department is highly successful and boasts access to state of the art resources, within modern facilities.

-          Full time Teacher of Maths required from January 2020 or earlier.

-          Opportunity to work within a welcoming Secondary school located just off the M61.

-          Continued access to outstanding CPD programmes throughout the academic year.

-          Easily accessible via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Preston and Salford.

-          Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP24, 37 3 - GBP40, 490.

The Maths department has seen a full refurbishment across the classroom; creating new open plan learning spaces alongside intimate learning spaces.  As the successful post-holder, you can expect to be joining a welcoming staff team consisting of four members of teaching staff working under the guidance of the Head of Maths. Your responsibilities as the incoming Teacher of Maths will include but may not be limited to;

-          Promoting an outstanding pedagogy across the school board and demonstrating outstanding practice.

-          Identifying clear objectives and content within Maths for all pupils including how these will be taught, evaluated and assessed.

-          Organise a stimulating and inspiring learning environment.

-          Ensure regulations regarding Health and Safety are maintained both within the Maths department and the school.

The Secondary school has just over 500 pupils on roll, aged 11-16 and has seen continued development in all areas,  triumphing all challenges through the delivery of progressive, student centred learning.  Bolton can be accessed via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Salford and Wigan. The school can also be accessed through various public transport options with links across Greater Manchester.
