Position: Mathematics Teacher

Role Overview: As a Mathematics Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing students' understanding and appreciation of mathematics. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, delivering interactive and innovative teaching sessions, and inspiring students to develop a strong foundation in mathematical principles. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support to help students overcome challenges and thrive in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective and dynamic lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Deliver inspiring and interactive mathematics lessons to engage students of varying abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Utilize modern teaching methodologies, technology, and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff to enhance the overall learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Passion for mathematics and a strong commitment to education.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • A creative and adaptable teaching approach to cater to students with diverse learning styles.
  • Previous teaching experience is advantageous but not mandatory; NQTs are welcome to apply.
  • An enthusiasm for contributing to extracurricular activities and school events.

Location: Ashford, Kent, is a vibrant town known for its historical charm and excellent transport links. With its proximity to beautiful countryside and the coast, it offers a wonderful balance of urban and rural living.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
