Job Description: As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective math lessons to students at various grade levels. You will create a stimulating learning environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mathematics and a keen interest in exploring innovative teaching methodologies to ensure students' success and enjoyment of the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver comprehensive mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Utilize technology and interactive resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Encourage active student participation and engagement in classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cohesive and effective teaching plans.
  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at secondary school level is preferred, but NQTs are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young minds in mathematics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the school's wider community.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest educational trends.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
