English Teacher

Skelmersdale, Lancashire

15th April 2024 start

Our school is a busy, over-subscribed, 11-16 establishment. We have an amazing, purpose-built school, enabling us to provide the very best teaching and learning opportunities within a bright, modern facility. The school is located in extensive grounds and is situated close to Skelmersdale town centre.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of English to join our high achieving department on a temporary to permanent basis.

We are looking for:

  • Someone to support with and lead on curriculum development across the key stages.
  • Someone who has strong subject knowledge and skills derived from a graduate English Education background
  • Someone who can engage and enthuse our learners through a commitment to outstanding teaching and learning
  • Someone who can contribute to the further development of a strong and forward looking team
  • Someone who is innovative in their techniques to motivate and inspire young people
  • Someone who can build positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents alike.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
