Job description

Are you a Newly Qualified Teacher looking to gain the valuable experience needed for a successful career in Education?

Are you a semi-retired Teacher or an experience Teacher looking to take a step back, with more time at home?

Teaching Personnel are working with several schools in the Bridport & Beaminster areas who require cover and supply teachers for both short-term & long-term cover.

Role:

  • Working on a flexible basis across the Primary Schools in the area.
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons across Key stages one and two.
  • Engaging pupils with different teaching methods and adapting to multiple learning methods.
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to support the academic and social development of students.

How it works:

  • Day to day bookings - Short term Sickness cover, we will call you in the morning to see if you are free to work for the day and advise you of the school, year group, location and expectations on the day.
  • Short-term bookings - 1-5 days a week, this can be either pre-booked or on the day. You choose the hours/days you want to work.
  • Long-term bookings - 1-5 days a week over 10 weeks. This will be at request of the school to which you can confirm or deny depending on your preference. 
  • (All roles are discussed with you and you have final say as to whether you would like to work the role or not)

Requirements:

  • Fully Qualified Teacher status (QTS) or equivalent. 
  • Enhanced Child only DBS certificate that is registered with the Update Service (TP can assist with this)
  • Experience teaching across the Primary Key stages.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
