Teaching Personnel have an exclusive opportunity for a  Supply Teacher for a full-time position at an SEN school in New Milton. The school caters for students with autism and Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). It is a Pupil Referral Unit where students will come temporarily with the hope that they will return to mainstream school. The school is currently is a very small school of 20-30 students but is likely to expand to up to 80 students within the next year.

This role will involve working with children across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the ability to be able to deal with challenging behaviour and children with SEMH. The position will involve planning and marking responsibilities and liaising with parents on students progress.

To be considered for this role, you must;

-          Have planning and marking experience

-          Be willing to partake in CPD courses (if required)

-          Provide support to students for progression

-          Have excellent behaviour management skills

-          Be passionate and innovative in your learning approach

-          Be calm, caring and conscientious

The successful candidate must…
- Have a ‘can-do’, positive attitude 
- Have experience with different exam boards
- Have the drive to make a difference
- Be invested in students achievement
- Confident with classroom control 
- Be calm, caring and conscientious
- Have excellent interpersonal skills

To be considered for this role, you will be required to:
- Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one. 
- Be able to provide two references from the last 6 years.

In order to register with Teaching Personnel, candidates are required to have Child Workforce DBS registered on the update service. All candidates are required to complete a Safeguarding course through Teaching Personnel, or provide a relevant safeguarding certificate during your registration process. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory vetting checks and references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
