Cover Teacher – Secondary Schools in Warrington
Location: Warrington
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £120 – £150 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time or part-time available, term-time only
We are currently seeking adaptable and reliable Cover Teachers to work across several Ofsted-rated Good secondary schools in the Warrington area. This role involves delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects (no planning or marking required)

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
-
Supporting students with their learning and maintaining engagement
-
Building positive relationships with staff and students
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience in secondary schools
-
Strong classroom management and communication skills
-
The flexibility to work across key stages and subject areas
-
A professional and adaptable approach to supporting schools’ needs
Requirements:

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

Right to work in the UK
-
Suitable references covering the last 2 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
