Supply Teacher
Job description
Inspire Young Minds as a Supply Teacher in Totton, Southampton
Are you a passionate, adaptable educator seeking a meaningful role — without committing to a permanent post? Teaching Personnel is inviting dedicated supply teachers to shape young lives across secondary schools in Totton, Southampton, starting September 2025.
Why Teaching Personnel?
1. Empowering Supply Teachers with Choice and Flexibility
Teaching Personnel understands that modern educators value autonomy. Through our work, we help educators design their schedules and teaching environments — whether it's day-to-day supply, long-term placements, or niche subjects. Supply teaching allows you to focus on what matters most: teaching, not paperwork.
2. Flexible Working for a Balanced Lifestyle
The TP Flex initiative supports flexible work models like job shares, part-time roles, or staggered hours. Research confirms that flexible arrangements boost motivation, reduce absenteeism, and improve staff retention.
3. Streamlined Support & Trusted Service

Effortless admin with weekly pay (holiday pay blended in) and an intuitive myTP Work App to manage your schedule.
-
Rigorous vetting, including DBS checks and references, ensures a safe and professional match for both you and the school.
4. Career Growth through Diverse Experiences
Every day in supply teaching brings fresh opportunities — stepping into different classrooms, adapting your methods, and gaining invaluable insight into varied school cultures.
5. A Supportive Partner in Teacher Well-being
The pressures of permanent teaching—workload, constant marking, endless admin—are frequently cited reasons for career shifts. Supply teaching offers a sustainable alternative without sacrificing purpose
