About the Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic supply teachers to provide general cover or teach in their subject specialisms across secondary schools in Swansea. You’ll deliver engaging lessons, follow set plans, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure a positive learning environment. Assignments can range from day-to-day cover to longer-term roles.
Key Duties:
✅ Teach and supervise secondary-aged pupils in accordance with the school’s policies
✅ Deliver pre-planned lessons or adapt materials to meet students’ needs
✅ Maintain classroom discipline and a safe learning environment
✅ Mark work where required and provide feedback
✅ Build rapport with pupils and school staff
✅ Be adaptable – every day may be different!
Requirements to Be Successful:
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
✔️ Experience teaching at secondary level
✔️ Flexibility and resilience
✔️ Ability to drive – many schools are in rural locations
✔️ A desire to speak Welsh or existing Welsh language skills are highly desirable
✔️ Strong communication and behaviour management skills
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
✔️ Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
