- Create a positive and inclusive environment where students feel empowered to participate and succeed in sports activities, fostering teamwork and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate sports activities into the academic curriculum, supporting the inclusion group and helping students achieve their academic goals.
- Adapt coaching strategies to accommodate individual student needs and promote physical and emotional well-being, while also monitoring progress and participation.
- Work with the multidisciplinary team to identify and address the specific social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students, using sports as a platform for personal development.
- Promote a culture of sportsmanship, respect, and fair play among students, fostering positive relationships and a sense of belonging within the SEMH provision.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience planning and delivering sports sessions, preferably within an educational or youth development setting.
- Strong understanding of the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students, with the ability to adapt coaching strategies accordingly.
- Relevant coaching qualifications and certifications are desirable but not essential.
Benefits:
- Competitive rates of pay based on experience and qualifications.
- Flexible working arrangements to suit your availability and lifestyle.
