Job Title: Sports Coach

Qualifications:

Some experience coaching SEN children, Vast Physical Educational knowledge

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver sports coaching sessions for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Adapt coaching techniques to suit the individual needs and abilities of each child
  • Provide a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
  • Assess and monitor the progress of each child in the programme
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding the progress of their children

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience coaching SEN children
  • Extensive knowledge of Physical Education principles and practises
  • Valid coaching certification

Education:

  • Minimum of a relevant coaching qualification
  • Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) coaching is desirable

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in coaching children with SEN
  • Experience in planning and delivering sports coaching programmes

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of child development and learning styles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire children with diverse abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in sports science or related field
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily takes place in a school or educational environment
  • May require working evenings or weekends to accommodate coaching sessions
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods and participating in sports activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
