Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a Special Needs school who are looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with their Secondary aged pupils who have Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, such as Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.

The school need a TA who has a passion to work with children and wants to contribute to a child's development. You will need to be nurturing and understanding, while demonstrating patience and resilience as you will find yourself in various challenging situations.

An A-C grade in Maths and English GCSE's is a minimum requirement, and you will need to have previous experience working with adults or children who have Special Needs. The ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential, as 1:1 and group working will be required.

The school hours are 08:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
