Job description

Are you a passionate teaching assistant looking for a full-time role?

Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic teaching assistants to join one of our specialist SEN primary schools in the South of Manchester area, The school has a strong reputation for high standards and life changing support to all their pupils and are seeking aspiring teaching assistants who will go the extra mile and motivate students.

The right candidate will be:

-          Be available full time

-          Have experience working with those with special needs in any setting

-          Have knowledge and understanding of different additional needs  

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-          Empathetic, patient and nurturing attitude

-          Have a proactive personality

Responsibilities:

-          Assist the class teacher in creating a supportive and engaging environment

-          Provide 1 to 1 support and or interventions to aid students with their academic, emotional and communication needs

-          Assist in challenging behaviour support

-          Encourage a safe and inclusive learning environment

-          Adapt activities to best suit pupils’ needs in regard to EHCPs

-          Monitor progress and provide feedback, adapting support as necessary

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
