September Supply Opportunities!
Job description
Secondary Supply Teacher – Newcastle & the Northeast Flexible Supply | £140–£170 per day | September 2026 Start
Teaching Personnel is recruiting Secondary Supply Teachers for schools across Newcastle and the wider Northeast, working in partnership with a well-established Multi Academy Trust. Positions are available from September 2026, with flexible working patterns of two to five days per week to suit your availability.
This is an opportunity that works equally well for Early Career Teachers looking to build classroom experience across a range of settings, and experienced educators who want greater flexibility without stepping away from the profession entirely. With a broad network of schools across Newcastle and the Northeast, there is genuine variety on offer — different schools, different students, and the chance to find out where you work best.
Depending on your subject specialism and experience, there may also be opportunities to teach at KS5.
Day to day you'll be:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment
- Adapting confidently to different school settings and student needs
- Building relationships with students and staff across a range of schools
- Upholding high educational standards and safeguarding responsibilities
To be considered:
- QTS or equivalent
- Experience in secondary school settings
- Confident classroom management skills
- Flexible, reliable, and comfortable with both pre-booked and short-notice work
- References covering the last 24 months
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
What Teaching Personnel offers:
- £140–£170 per day depending on experience
- Weekly pay via PAYE
- Flexible working patterns — two to five days per week
- Dedicated consultant support
- Free CPD through our CPD Academy
- Access to a wide network of Northeast secondary schools
Contract: Flexible supply | Start: September 2026 | Location: Durham & the Northeast
