Job description

Teaching Personnel is working with a partner school to recruit a teacher for a unique role working 3 days per week starting in September 2018.

The school is looking for the right candidate with the necessary breadth of experience and expertise to successfully fulfil the role of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A teacher who truly believes with appropriate support, all children can achieve success
  • Has knowledge and experience of working successfully with children who have a range of special needs and disabilities
  • Responsible for developing strategies to ensure that SEND pupils make outstanding progress.
  • Playing a strategic role in the school's development, leading change, co-ordinating learning support across the school and managing the provision of students with a range of Special Educational Needs.
  • A warm, charismatic character with strong understanding and patience.
  • A teacher who truly believes with appropriate support, all children can achieve success
  • Has knowledge and experience of working successfully with children who have a range of special needs and disability
  • Is an excellent and highly literate communicator, who is dedicated to the continual strategic improvement of the school

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
