SEND Teaching Assistant for SEND school Northallerton

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a full time Teaching Assistant for a small Early Years classroom in Bedale, the role will consist of working on a small group basis with children with SEND including SEMH and PMLD. The successful candidate will be working in a small class of early years students with SEN, focusing upon personal development and assisting in classroom activities. You will be working closely with the class teacher and fellow teaching assistants to provide the best care and support for the children in the class, who have a variety of needs. The school has been rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED and has brilliant facilities to use with the children, including a sensory garden!

The role will commence immediately on a full time, temporary basis and will earn up to £65 per day working 3 days per week, based in an easy to reach school in Bedale. You will be comfortable handling a small element of personal care and passionate about caring for children with SEN, if the candidate is successful in the role it is likely that the position could go permanent.

The ideal candidate will have:

- At least three months experience in an SEND environment
- Excellent behaviour management skills

- A comprehensive understanding of a variety of SEND
- A patient and caring attitude

- A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or relevant experience/degree)
