Job Title: SEN Secondary Teacher
Location: Somerset
Start Date: Immediate
We are working with a warm and inclusive secondary school in Somerset that is seeking a committed and experienced SEN Secondary Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with a range of special educational needs
- Work closely with the SENCO and support staff to implement EHCPs and individual learning plans
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a secondary setting
- Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes
- Excellent communication, patience, and resilience
- Understanding of positive behaviour support startegies
- Full Time, Part Time and Flexible applicants will be considered
