Position: SEND Specialist Tutor
Location: In person, tutoring at learners’ homes or local libraries in Tilbury
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time – Your schedule, your choice

Your Role:
• Deliver 1:1 or small group tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s individual learning plan
• Support a range of SEND needs using evidence-based strategies
• Create a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment where students can flourish
• Build strong, trusting relationships with learners and their families
• Monitor and report on progress, adjusting support as needed
• Work closely with schools, support staff, and families to ensure holistic learning
We’re Looking For Tutors Who Are:
• Passionate about supporting children with SEND
• Patient, empathetic, and able to adapt teaching to meet diverse needs
• Experienced in working with SEND children (in education, care, or therapeutic settings)
• Creative and flexible in their teaching style
• Strong communicators who can collaborate with families and professionals
• Ideally qualified with a background in education, SEN support, or related fields (though we provide training too!)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
