Job Title: 1:1 SEN Tutor (Home or School-Based)
Location: Loughborough and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible, during school hours (typically 8:30am–3:30pm)
Pay: Competitive rates (dependent on experience and qualifications)
About the Role:
We are seeking compassionate and experienced 1:1 SEN Tutors to support pupils in the Loughborough area. This role involves delivering personalised learning either in a pupil’s home or school setting, helping students with additional needs reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored lessons designed to meet individual SEN needs
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and abilities
- Build positive and supportive relationships to encourage confidence and engagement
- Track, assess, and report on pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (teaching, tutoring, or support roles)
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Ability to plan and deliver flexible, creative lessons
- Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Relevant qualifications (teaching, tutoring, or degree-level education preferred but not essential)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
