The Role
As a 1:1 SEN Tutor, you will work directly with students who require additional support with their learning. You will deliver tailored lessons that suit their individual needs, helping them build confidence, develop key academic skills, and make meaningful progress.
Location:
Tutoring may take place in person at learners’ homes, schools, or local libraries in Coalville, depending on the learner’s needs.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging 1:1 SEN tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s learning needs

Support students with core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science

Adapt teaching strategies to support different learning abilities and needs

Encourage confidence, independence, and positive learning habits

Provide feedback on student progress where required
Requirements
-
Minimum 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
-
Experience supporting students with SEN (such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties)
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

A genuine passion for helping students with additional needs succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
