Job Title: Specialist SEN Tutor
Location: Leicestershire
Contract: Flexible (Part-Time / Full-Time / Term-Time)
Rate: £25–£30 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced SEN Tutor to deliver personalised educational provision to children and young people with identified special educational needs across Leicestershire.

Provision will be delivered on a 1:1 basis in accordance with EHCP outcomes, supporting learners who may be out of mainstream education or requiring additional targeted support.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured learning programmes in line with EHCP outcomes

• Support learners with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and associated needs

• Monitor and report progress to parents, schools, and relevant professionals

• Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and compliance requirements

Essential Criteria

• Recognised teaching qualification (QTS/HLTA) or substantial SEN tutoring experience

• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice

• Experience working with vulnerable learners

• Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred)

• Ability to travel within Northamptonshire

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
